The PRCS concludes its X General Assembly
Dr. Younis Al-Khatib was reelected PRCS President
Members of the General Assembly have ratified a number of decisions to enhance PRCS humanitarian services in Palestine and in Diaspora. They also amended the PRCS statute.
During its X General Assembly, the Palestine Red Crescent Society reelected Dr. Younis Al-Khatib as its President for a term of four years. It also elected new administrative and executive boards.
Participants of the PRCS X General Assembly discussed community-based programs in Palestine, IHL as well as civilian and medical staff protection..

PRCS presents symbolic gifts to Norwegian doctors Mads Gilbert and Erik Fosse of NORWAC in appreciation for being the first international doctors in Gaza during the Israeli incursion
ICRC Vice President Christine Beerli said the latest event s in Gaza have led ICRC and the International Federation to create an initiative improving protection of medical staff and access to wounded civilians.
Dr. Salam Fayyad expressed his appreciation to PRCS for its 40 years of support of the Palestinian people.
