(Gaza-22/7/2014): President of PRCS visited Jabalia EMS center to check on the staff who was targeted while being on route to evacuate the injured in Beit Hanoun area in the early morning. Four PRCS ambulances were heading to Beit Hanoun area after receiving a number of emergency calls from the residents of that area.
After that, Dr. Al Khatib paid a visit to Al Awda hospital and Al Aqsa hospital where he was briefed on the damages at Al Aqsa hospital which was directly targeted by the Israeli airstrike. He also discussed with the officials at both hospitals the possible help that PRCS can provide in medical field for the injured.
Furthermore, Dr. Al Khatib participated in distributing urgent humanitarian assistance along with PRCS staff to thousands of citizens who have been displaced from their destroyed homes to UNRWA schools in the Gaza Strip.
Later on in the evening, Dr. Al Khatib visited the Jordanian Military Hospital in Gaza city in which he discussed with the hospital’s head the possibilities of improving cooperation between PRCS and the hospital in order to better meet the humanitarian consequences of the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
