PRCS contributes to enhancing readiness, building capacities and increasing resilience in order to mitigate the impact of both natural and occupation-induced disasters. To this end, the Society carries out programs in the following fields:
To strengthen disaster preparedness, volunteers receive emergency response training in Palestine and abroad.
To respond to humanitarian, relief and health needs arising from the Israeli occupation (air strikes, shelling, curfews, blockade, demolitions)
Workshops, training courses and meetings are held to assess risks and draw plans aimed at building local capacities and skills.
Emergency preparedness activities and drills are carried out in schools
Community disaster awareness and preparedness levels are raised to mitigate impact and increase resilience.
