(Al Bireh-23/6/2015): PRCS and Al Makassed Islamic Charitable Society signed an Agreement aimed at furthering cooperation between the Divisions of Neonatology at the two Societies’ East Jerusalem hospitals.The Agreement was signed by Dr. Abdallah Sabri, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of PRCS/Jerusalem, and Dr. Arafat Al Hidmi, Chairman of Al Makassed Society’s Board.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Dawood Al Dajani, PRCS’ Secretary in Jerusalem, Dr. Nihad Id’eis, Medical Director of PRCS’ Hospital in Jerusalem, Mr. Mahmud Elayyan, Administrative Director of PRCS/Jerusalem, and Dr. TarekBarakat, Director of Al Makassed Society.
Pursuant to the Agreement, a joint protocol shall allow Al Makassed neonatologists to provide medical services at and train neonatal doctors and nurses from PRCS’ Hospital in Jerusalem, thus enabling PRCS’ doctors to pass the Arab Neonatal Board exams. Moreover, Al Makassed neonatologists shall train a neonatal transport team capable of providing intensive care ambulance services to newborn babies.
Under this important Agreement, high-level medical services shall be provided to Palestinians in Jerusalem in particular and Palestine in general. The Agreement shall also enhance specialized neonatal medical services, develop neonatal cooperation between the two hospitals and build ties with other hospitals in East Jerusalem.
