(Gaza - 27/1/2020): In cooperation with Al Azhar University in Gaza City, the Disaster Management Unit (DMU) at PRCS set up a medical point in front of the University’s Faculty of Medicine. Medical students were trained on how to mount and operate medical points during emergencies and became familiar with the equipment and supplies required to run these points. PRCS’ Emergency Medical Services in the Gaza Strip also took part in this activity with EMTs explaining to students how to operate ambulance equipment.
Speaking about this activity, Abdel Aziz AbouEisheh, Head of the DMU in the Gaza Strip, said it was part of cooperation efforts between PRCS and Al Azhar University aimed at enhancing medical students knowledge in this field. It focused on intervention approaches, the provision of medical services to casualties during emergencies, and the mounting and management of medical tents.
