Top Belgian Diplomat visits PRCS Al Amal City in Khan Younis

(Khan Younis – 26/7/2012): Mr. Geert Deserranno, Consul in charge of Cooperation at the Belgian Consulate General in Jerusalem visited PRCS Al Amal City for AbilityDevelopment in Khan Younis to get better acquainted with health and social services provided by PRCS in that area.

Mr. Deserranno was received by Mr. Omar Al Azayza, Administrative Director of PRCS/Gaza Strip, Dr. Khalil Aboul Fool, Head of the Disaster Management Unit at PRCS and Dr. Jean Calder, Rehabilitation Consultant and Dean of the Khan Younis Ability Development College.

He was briefed on the work of the Rehabilitation Department at Al Amal City as well as on the humanitarian services it provides to persons with special needs. Dr. Calder spoke about the College’s various sections, the contents of its central library and the diplomas it offers in the social and psychological fields.

He also visited various health, psychological and social facilities and was briefed about key recent achievements. Furthermore, the delegation then toured PRCS Al Amal hospital in Khan Younis to get better acquainted with its sections and with health services provided to Palestinians in the southern Gaza Strip.
